SPECIAL OLYMPICS ONTARIO KITCHENER-WATERLOO

Special Olympics Ontario Kitchener-Waterloo is a completely volunteer driven organization that provides year-round opportunities in sports training and athlete competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics is founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, learn, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports.

Special Olympics believes that through sports training and competition, people with intellectual disabilities benefit physically, mentally, socially and spiritually; and that the community - through participation and observation - is united in understanding people with intellectual disabilities in an environment of equality, respect and acceptance

Introducing

The DIRTY DASH

Special Olympics Kitchener-Waterloo is planning its first annual, friendly, yet competitive, race to raise funds for our remarkable organization.

The race will be held July 18th, 2010 and we need help from a large group of volunteers.

We also require volunteer coordinators for pre-race planning (beginning now).

If you are interested in getting involved with the 'Dirty Dash', please contact Amberlee at afast@live.ca and I will give you more information and answer any questions you may have.
